You can go further after a rest at the pond to some hidden onsen (hot spring) baths, before descending back to Yatsugatake Cycling

9:30Start riding from Yatsugatake CyclingLet’s start pedaling. The climbing starts right out of our door, you might want to take a short detour just to get the legs warmed up before tackling the first 4 kilometers up to Mishake Ike Pond. From here we can continue up to the top of the road or turn
down through the valley and extend your ride onto Tateshina Mtn before
desending back down to our Base. -
