Every Year in July , Shimano holds it’s Bikers Festival at near bye Panorama MTB Park , in Fujimi Town here in Nagano Prefecture. It is a big festival with many events, races, fun rides , kids rides and of course a big BBQ with some local Sake thrown in. The racing is not super serious, more a fun family oriented event, that attacts up to 4000 guests every year.
This year Shimano has asked us to let them use our facilities as an aid station and a starting point for some of thier rides. On Saturday the 30th of July, Yatsugatake Cycling will provide homemade muffins, lemonade and coffee for riders during the Yatsugatake Long Touring event. On Sunday the 31st , we will be the starting point for a Guide Tour, a collaboration between ourselves and Shimano’s guides. There are still some spots open for Saturday’s long ride but Sunday’s Guide tour is filled up. If you are interested in joining please contact Shimano or your local bike shop, many shops from all over Japan come to this event.
We will still be open for business over this weekend and our rental bikes are ready for you, please make a resevation and come and enjoy the fun!
